What is Colibri​

Colibri is a REST API designed to bridge the gap between traditional RSS feeds and modern application requirements.

While RSS remains the backbone of open-form content on the web, its implementation is often fragmented and inconsistent. Colibri offers a consistent, unified interface that allows developers to integrate feeds or specific posts from various sources directly into their applications without the headache of managing multiple XML formats or custom parsers.

By handling the heavy lifting of polling and content normalization, Colibri lets you focus on building features, not infrastructure.

How it works​

Colibri operates on a high-frequency synchronization engine designed for reliability:

  • Automated Fetching: Every 4 hours, our engine polls registered sources to ensure your application has access to the latest content.

  • Intelligent Parsing: We normalize feeds into a single, predictable JSON schema.

  • AI-Powered Enrichment: Beyond simple parsing, Colibri uses LLMs to analyze the content of each post and generate a concise, meaningful description. This ensures that even feeds with missing metadata or "summary-only" tags provide value to your end users.
